Peace Place, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated, organized, and dedicated Women's Empowerment Advocate for our Saturday daytime shift of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. This position would also serve on a PRN basis for other weekday shifts.
The Women's Empowerment Advocate will provide supportive services directly to victims of domestic violence. The Advocate’s direct service responsibilities include providing resources and information, advocacy, and supportive conversations, as well as, Hotline coverage.
Qualifications needed: Four year college or university degree preferred though relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience working with trauma survivors strongly preferred. Experience in crisis intervention. Respect of organization policies regarding confidentiality, integrity, ethics and approaches situations and challenges in a solution based proactive and effective manner, assisting in the creation of a path to self-sufficiency for individuals leaving abusive relationships, using a survivor-centered approach to its services.
